Hi. I wasn't sure where I could post this, so here it is :P
I just wanted to post a link to a flash game I recently played:
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/365242

I thought it might be an excellent example to anyone who is doing a game that is perhaps story-based or a group that wants to make a simple yet powerful game. It's not flashy or crazy or anything. It's a fairly small game, but the way it was set up really drew me into it. The music and art worked well together, but I think it was more the style of gameplay. Something I wasn't quite used to.
I understand that this game probably has very little replay value and random stuff, so I'm sure this won't make a terribly good game in that sense, but for a first time through, it's very elegant and beautiful.
Maybe we could start a post/thread on this blog dedicated to good (and maybe bad) game examples that we can collectively draw from. And if you like this kinda stuff, I strongly suggest trying out Cody's Game Design Discussion Group (no, he didn't ask me to advertise :P).
Thanks!
